Senior Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer, Creativity Apps

Who you are

You have a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, along with over 5 years of significant industry experience delivering products that utilize state-of-the-art computational photography and machine learning technologies. Your deep knowledge in the theory and practice of machine learning and deep learning techniques, particularly diffusion models, variational auto-encoders, and transformers, sets you apart in this role. You have hands-on experience building, training, evaluating, and deploying models that leverage generative AI, and you are adept at delivering customer-facing products that incorporate computer vision and computational photography features.

You are a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. Your ability to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible in the field of generative AI is crucial for this position. What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of creative editing tools. You will collaborate closely with a talented team to innovate and implement pioneering technologies that surprise and delight both professional and enthusiast users. Your work will involve developing algorithms and models that enhance user experiences in creative applications, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in image editing and computational photography.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models that integrate seamlessly into Apple's suite of creativity apps. This includes building and optimizing models for tasks such as image enhancement, style transfer, and generative content creation. You will also evaluate the performance of these models and iterate on them based on user feedback and technological advancements.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside designers and engineers to ensure that the machine learning features you develop align with the overall vision of the products. You will participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute to product roadmaps, and help define the technical direction of projects.

Your expertise in machine learning will also be leveraged to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
