Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Compliance Manager for their Regional Workplace Health and Safety team in Fort Worth, Texas. You'll be responsible for executing WHS policies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to influence operational leaders.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in workplace health and safety management, particularly within operational environments. Your ability to build trust and inspire confidence among your teams is paramount, as you will be influencing change and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You possess a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and company policies, which you leverage to guide and oversee compliance across various sites. Your analytical skills allow you to effectively measure performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.

You are an effective communicator, capable of articulating complex safety concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Your experience includes developing senior operational leaders on WHS theory and practice, ensuring that safety standards are not only met but also embedded into the operational culture. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with regional teams to operationalize safety initiatives and reduce risks.

Desirable

Experience in the aviation or logistics industry is a plus, as is familiarity with modern safety science principles. You are proactive in seeking innovative solutions to enhance workplace safety and are comfortable analyzing safety data to inform decision-making. Your leadership style encourages open communication and fosters a culture of safety awareness among associates.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with the regional operations team within the Amazon Air Network to execute WHS policies effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, which involves providing guidance and oversight to various sites. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at operationalizing safety practices, thereby reducing safety risks in processes.

You will analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement, using this information to influence operational leaders and support their teams. Your role will require you to communicate safety standards and practices clearly, ensuring that all associates understand their importance and implementation. You will also be responsible for developing training programs for senior operational leaders, helping them to embed WHS standards throughout their sites.

Your leadership will be crucial in building a culture of safety within the organization, where associates feel empowered to prioritize their health and safety. You will measure the performance of regions and sites, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing safety practices. Your ability to influence change and foster collaboration will be key to your success in this role.
