Grafana is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to work on their Loki Ingest database project. You'll leverage technologies like Grafana, PostgreSQL, and Docker to enhance their observability platform. This role requires extensive backend engineering experience and offers a remote work environment.
You have extensive experience in backend engineering, particularly in building and optimizing database systems. Your background includes working with observability tools and you understand the intricacies of data ingestion processes. You are proficient in languages such as Java and Python, and you have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are comfortable collaborating with distributed teams across various time zones.
You have a strong understanding of database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL, and you are familiar with the challenges of scaling databases to handle large volumes of data. Your experience includes designing and implementing efficient data pipelines and ensuring data integrity and performance. You are passionate about open-source technologies and have a track record of contributing to or utilizing such tools in your projects.
You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and finding innovative solutions.
