Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead and grow the Starlink business across U.S. Civil Agencies. This role requires a strong background in Federal Civil Sales and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales management, particularly within the Federal Civil sector, and possess a robust network of executive-level contacts that you can leverage to drive business growth. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex sales environments and adapt strategies to meet dynamic market demands. You are highly motivated and thrive in a startup-like atmosphere, where you can take initiative and lead efforts to ramp up sales in new sectors. Your analytical skills allow you to dive deep into market trends, providing actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. You are adept at synthesizing data into clear presentations that aid senior management in making informed choices. Your ability to identify and engage key stakeholders within the Federal Civilian vertical is a key strength, enabling you to execute account strategies effectively and close business opportunities.

Desirable

Experience with telecommunications and satellite communications markets is a plus, as is familiarity with government contracts and procurement processes. You understand the nuances of selling to government agencies and can navigate the complexities involved in securing contracts. Your strategic mindset allows you to develop and manage a sales pipeline that aligns with both short- and long-term business goals. You are comfortable working with various sales channels, including value-added resellers and system integrators, to maximize the reach and impact of Starlink capabilities across the U.S. Government.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for SpaceX's Starlink business within U.S. Civil Agencies. You will dive deep into the connectivity needs of government entities, identifying trends and opportunities that align with SpaceX's mission. Your primary focus will be on developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive sales pipeline that forecasts both immediate and future business opportunities. You will deliver actionable insights through thorough data analysis, synthesizing results into presentations that support senior management's decision-making processes. Your role will involve identifying and targeting key stakeholders and decision-makers within the Federal Civilian sector, ensuring that you gain access to the right contacts to drive sales. You will execute account strategies that close business opportunities and scale the use of Starlink capabilities across various government agencies. Additionally, you will develop strategies for engaging with different sales channels, including major government contracts and partnerships with value-added resellers and system integrators.
