We need a Network Design manager to run complex and cross functional supply chain projects. This role is a part of the centralized supply chain planning function at Amazon India. The role is very much like an internal consulting role where the incumbent will drive large high impact projects in supply chain. These projects will typically involve designing and building complex new sites, driving technology solutions, driving large cost reduction or speed improvement initiatives, launching exciting new supply chain models.

Above all, we expect Network design managers to be single threaded owners for their initiatives. This is a high ownership position where you directly control your destiny.

Network Design managers will be measured on the impact of their project. Depending on the project, clear financial or other impact goals will be set forth. It is the Network Design manager's responsibility to ensure they drive the program towards achieving those goals.



Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Network Designer, you will:

• Spearhead the design and continuous optimization of the IN-Supply Chain Network, focusing on enhancing speed, reducing costs, and improving reliability.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of network performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing data-driven solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to standardize processes, simplify operations, and achieve significant cost savings across the supply chain.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions for automating operations and aligning on-ground activities with system configurations.
• Collaborate closely with business teams to define comprehensive requirements and create high-level process/system solutions.
• Own and execute strategic, high-visibility logistics and technology projects that streamline Amazon's supply chain operations in India.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across various business units, including operations, technology, and senior leadership.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on project status, risk assessments, and change management strategies.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

A day in the life

• Reviewing daily network performance dashboards and deep-diving into anomalies.
• Leading cross-functional stand-up meetings to address immediate operational challenges.
• Collaborating with operations teams to resolve network constraints and optimize resource allocation.
• Developing long-term network optimization strategies and presenting them to leadership.
• Coordinating with tech teams to implement system enhancements that support network efficiency.
• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Conducting stakeholder meetings to align on project goals and timelines.- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
