Carvana is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for the 2nd shift to oversee multiple reconditioning lines and ensure production metrics are met. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
You have a proven track record of managing operations in a high-volume environment, demonstrating your ability to maintain quality and efficiency. Your leadership experience allows you to effectively guide teams, ensuring that production targets are consistently met. You are skilled in identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance throughput and efficiency. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to conduct root cause analysis and develop actionable plans to address challenges. Your communication skills foster collaboration and teamwork on the shop floor, embodying the values of Carvana. You are committed to continuous improvement, actively participating in projects that enhance operational processes and team development.
In this role, you will oversee multiple reconditioning lines within the Inspection & Reconditioning Center, planning production for a full working shift. You will manage facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality, especially when the General Manager is not onsite. You will conduct weekly performance reviews with senior leadership, reporting on performance versus targets and challenges. You will guide daily site manager huddles to establish priorities and ensure alignment across the team. Additionally, you will support the execution of Continuous Improvement projects, implementing and training process changes to enhance operational efficiency. You will foster growth and development in your team, providing regular feedback and supporting their development plans. Upholding Carvana's operating standards and compliance with health and safety guidelines will be a key part of your responsibilities.
