Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Turbomachinery team to develop advanced turbopumps for the Starship propulsion system. You'll focus on designing, analyzing, and building high-performance turbomachinery. This role requires expertise in mechanical design and fluid analysis.

Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on turbomachinery design and analysis. Your experience includes working on complex fluid systems, and you are familiar with the challenges of managing cryogenic fluids in space. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovative solutions. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are comfortable taking ownership of hardware development from concept to execution. Your attention to detail ensures that all designs meet rigorous performance and manufacturability standards.

Experience with aerospace applications or propulsion systems is a plus. Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and materials used in space applications will set you apart. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of turbomachinery components for the Starship propulsion system.
