Overview

Teya is seeking a Senior Fraud & Transaction Monitoring Engineering Manager to lead the development of fraud detection systems. You'll work closely with Data Engineering and Risk Analytics to optimize and scale monitoring capabilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in fraud and AML systems.

You have extensive experience in engineering management, particularly in fraud detection and transaction monitoring systems. Your technical background allows you to lead teams effectively while ensuring the highest standards of performance and security in payment systems. You understand the complexities of fraud and AML monitoring and are passionate about building systems that protect businesses and their customers. You thrive in collaborative environments and are skilled at working with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering and Risk Analytics, to drive impactful results.

You possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the technologies that underpin fraud detection systems. You are adept at building, optimizing, and scaling detection systems, rule engines, and data flows. Your leadership style fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging your team to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance. You are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning techniques for fraud detection would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to AML and fraud prevention is also beneficial. You may have a background in software development, data analysis, or risk management, which complements your engineering management skills.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining Teya's fraud and transaction monitoring systems. You will oversee the design and implementation of analytical frameworks that enhance the detection of fraudulent activities and ensure compliance with AML regulations. Your responsibilities will include optimizing existing systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in fraud detection.

You will collaborate closely with Data Engineering to ensure that data flows are robust and reliable, enabling accurate analysis and reporting. Working with Risk Analytics, you will develop behavioral signals and rule engines that adapt to emerging fraud patterns. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.

Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders across the organization to align on fraud prevention strategies and share insights from data analysis. You will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fraud detection and AML compliance, ensuring that Teya remains at the forefront of technology and regulatory standards.
