Everbridge is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and build scalable services for their critical event management platform. This role requires expertise in building resilient systems that impact reliability and performance.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on building production systems that are scalable and resilient. You understand the importance of reliability and performance in systems that serve governments, enterprises, and communities globally. Your experience includes architecting services that can handle high loads and ensure security across various platforms.
You are proficient in designing and implementing APIs that are not only functional but also optimized for performance. You have a solid understanding of system architecture and are familiar with best practices in software development, including testing and deployment strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus. Familiarity with event-driven systems and real-time data processing will set you apart. You are also encouraged to apply if you have experience in agile methodologies and continuous integration practices.
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and building scalable services that power Everbridge's critical event management platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
