Axon is seeking a Director of Accounting Strategy & Financial Reporting to lead accounting research and operational analysis with a focus on M&A and strategic investments. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills.
You are a forward-thinking and highly motivated team player with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. You have experience leading teams and driving strategic initiatives, particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt investments, and compliance with accounting standards. Your ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Strategy and Corporate Development, sets you apart. You are adept at presenting complex financial information to senior leadership and have a knack for developing clear, actionable accounting policies.
Experience with SEC reporting and non-GAAP financial measures is a plus. You are familiar with the latest accounting standards and regulations, and you have a proven track record of implementing effective training programs for your team. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough research and provide insightful recommendations that drive business decisions.
In this role, you will lead the Accounting Strategy and Financial Reporting team at Axon, focusing on accounting research and operational analysis. You will oversee the SEC reporting and earnings release process, ensuring that financial statement disclosures are accurate and compliant with regulations. Your responsibilities will include advising on the accounting implications of unique transactions and collaborating with the Strategy and Corporate Development team to support their initiatives. You will also be involved in developing and implementing accounting policies and training programs that enhance the team's capabilities.
You will take ownership of special projects that require in-depth analysis and strategic thinking. Your ability to present research results and recommendations to senior leadership will be crucial in influencing key business decisions. You will foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within your team, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to Axon's mission of protecting life.
