Job Description

The Amazon Fresh APAC team is looking for forward looking and talented Senior Program Manager to drive Grocery business growth through strengthening key inputs such as Pricing, Fee, and Selection. At Amazon, our vision is to be the first grocery shopping destination for customers through the best in class service and technologies in terms of convenience, selection and delivery services. The customer demands and shopping activities of grocery in Asia have become increasingly diverse. Since pandemic, lots of customers started using online grocery, at the same time we see more competition, hence we Amazon Fresh team is required to explore further innovation and establish the best fit business model for each marketplace through collaboration between Fresh and existing Amazon Store to offer high quality and differentiated selection at competitive price, seamless and convenience shopping experience, and various delivery speed and options.
This position leads strategy and execution of foundational business key inputs (Pricing, Fee, and Selection) for Grocery working closely with partner teams across EU and APAC both in Fresh and Core organization to effectively connect the needs of customer and the scalable solution. This role also plays a pivotal role in harmonizing the way to manage these key inputs across channels in order to realize cohesive and competitive customer experience when customer shops Grocery and other items at Amazon to our vision of One Grocery/Everyday Essential.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will mainly lead initiatives in the following areas: Pricing, Fee, and/or Selection being responsible for (1) developing strategy and key initiatives (3YF, OP1/OP2) working closely with category leaders, INT product, and partner teams, (2) driving critical initiatives and experiments, and (3) managing KPI. This role works with wide ranged stakeholders: multiple global organizations who own business strategy, technical roadmap and resource, Japan/Singapore local business teams, Operations, Finance, and Legal. Due to the breadth of scope and complexity of each area, and relatively early business phase, a successful candidate will be; highly motivated to build a new business model, eagerly learn from other regions/experiments, Big Thinker, analytical, simplifier, result driven and effective and thoughtful communicator with Openness for diversity.
This role needs to be based in Tokyo (HND10).


Key job responsibilities
• Develop vision and strategy in your responsible area (Pricing, Fee, and/or Selection, – responsible areas to be defined by discussion) which supports growth of Grocery business in short/mid/long term.
• Plan, execute, and monitor key initiatives to drive business innovation and financial results in responsible area or initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with global business and technology teams, local business and operations teams, other business partners (e.g. Finance, Legal, PR) to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions
• Define, prioritize, and plan resources across functions to deliver to the desired business outcome
About the team
Amazon Fresh APAC currently includes JP and SG as scope countries. Our Product Management org manages product roadmap for JP and SG, hence, you will work at Tokyo HND10 office by combining virtual meeting and periodical business travel to Singapore SIN16 office.
- 8+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Business level English- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
