Confluent is hiring an Account Executive for Canada to drive revenue growth in the Digital Native segment. You'll leverage your sales and negotiation skills to close deals and grow customer accounts. This role requires a proven track record in a value-driven sales model.

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a technology-focused environment — you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Your ability to build relationships with C-level executives is second to none, and you thrive in a collaborative team setting where you can share insights and strategies with your peers.

You possess a consumption/growth mentality — you understand the importance of not just closing deals but also nurturing existing customer relationships to drive further consumption of products. Your analytical skills allow you to assess market trends and customer needs effectively, enabling you to tailor your approach for maximum impact.

You are a self-starter who is comfortable working remotely — you manage your time effectively and are proactive in seeking out new opportunities. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate the value of Confluent's offerings clearly and persuasively.

Desirable

Experience in the data streaming or cloud services industry would be a significant advantage — you understand the competitive landscape and can position Confluent's solutions effectively against competitors. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is also beneficial, as it will help you manage your sales pipeline efficiently.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at Confluent, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth in large, complex accounts across Canada. You will proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close a robust sales pipeline while continuing to grow consumption in existing customer accounts. Your role will involve leading and executing strategic sales cycles, demonstrating the value of Confluent's solutions to C-level executives.

You will become an in-depth expert in Confluent's offerings and product suites, ensuring you can effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business challenges, and positioning Confluent's solutions as the ideal fit.

You will collaborate closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market needs. Regularly analyzing sales metrics and customer feedback will be crucial in refining your approach and ensuring you meet and exceed your quarterly sales targets.
