You possess deep subject matter expertise in safety intelligence, particularly in the context of AI and its applications. Your analytical skills enable you to build models that explain how harms could emerge in human–AI interactions, helping to operationalize previously unmeasured problems into actionable signals for detection and mitigation.

You are adept at developing analytical frameworks that map how new risks form, evolve, and propagate as products and policies change. Your ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners ensures that safety mitigations are effectively implemented across critical sectors.

Desirable

Experience in the field of AI safety or risk management is a plus. Familiarity with geopolitical risks and strategic threats will enhance your contributions to the team. What you'll do

As a Quantitative Intelligence Analyst, you will focus on discovering and analyzing emerging risks in human–AI systems. Your role involves using quantitative methods to identify weak signals of potential abuse or misuse of AI technologies. You will collaborate with the Intelligence and Investigations team to monitor and analyze real-world abuse trends, providing insights that inform product decisions and safety mitigations.

You will develop and refine analytical models that help predict how risks may evolve as AI technologies advance. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and security of OpenAI's products, ensuring they are deployed responsibly across various sectors. You will also engage with partners to implement effective strategies for risk mitigation, enhancing the overall safety of AI applications.
