You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning. You are proficient in Python and have a solid understanding of data visualization techniques. Your experience includes developing metrics and measurement frameworks that ensure high standards for safety and compliance in autonomous systems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to tackle complex problems in estimation and experimental design. You are passionate about leveraging data to drive insights and improve performance in autonomous driving technology. In this role, you will develop evaluation frameworks for the performance of autonomous vehicles, focusing on large-scale machine learning models. You will collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development cycle, employing statistical models to analyze data collected from both on-road and simulated environments. Your work will involve generating and interpreting dense signals from simulations, addressing challenging problems in estimation and experimental design. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Waymo Driver meets strict standards for safety, compliance, and service quality. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection and analysis processes, helping to refine the Waymo Driver's capabilities and performance metrics.
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
