Xometry is seeking a Technical Account Manager to act as a customer-facing expert for strategic accounts. You'll leverage your mechanical engineering background to optimize projects and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise and customer engagement skills.
You are a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with a passion for customer success and a desire to make a real impact. You have experience in customer engagement and possess the technical expertise necessary to act as a trusted advisor for enterprise accounts. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to optimize projects for manufacturing. Your ability to identify and address potential manufacturing challenges sets you apart, ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations.
Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is a plus, as it allows you to collaborate effectively with customer engineers. You are proactive in staying informed about upcoming projects and initiatives, which helps you anticipate customer requirements and drive growth. Your strong communication skills enable you to build lasting relationships with clients, fostering trust and satisfaction.
As a Technical Account Manager at Xometry, you will be embedded within our most strategic accounts, acting as an extension of their engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting weekly onsite visits to customer and partner locations, where you will build relationships and understand their needs. You will collaborate closely with customer engineers on DFM to optimize projects for Xometry's platform, ensuring that manufacturing challenges are proactively identified and addressed. Your role will involve staying informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with Xometry's offerings.
You will report into Operations but will work very closely with Sales to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction. This unique blend of customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational execution will allow you to make a significant impact on our clients' success. You will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance, helping customers navigate the complexities of manufacturing processes. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping the direction of projects and ensuring that customer expectations are met.
