SpaceX is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to collaborate on infrastructure projects that support their mission to enable human life on Mars. You'll work with engineers across multiple disciplines and utilize AutoCAD for design documentation. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 2+ years of professional experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline and have at least 2 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering. You are skilled in performing civil/structural-specific engineering tasks and have experience in procurement and construction activities for various projects. Your ability to collaborate with multi-discipline teams is essential, as you will work closely with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure projects.

You are proficient in developing and issuing drawings, design documentation, and reports for civil/structural aspects of aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, and commercial construction projects. Your experience includes writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You are adept at preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and cost control reports, and you excel at resolving design and construction conflicts in real-time.

Desirable

Experience with large capital projects and familiarity with aerospace or industrial construction environments would be advantageous. You are a proactive problem solver who can think critically and adapt to changing project requirements. Your strong communication skills enable you to interact effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll do

As a Civil/Structural Engineer at SpaceX, you will be a vital member of the Project Team, responsible for designing and building infrastructure that supports the company's ambitious goals. You will collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to ensure that all aspects of the projects are well-integrated and executed efficiently. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders will be essential in maintaining project momentum and achieving successful outcomes.
