Overview

Google is seeking a Product Manager II for their Compute team to guide infrastructure products from conception to launch. This role requires 5 years of product management experience and expertise in technical leadership.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. Your background includes developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within areas such as networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, and cluster management. You are comfortable preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership and have experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. You possess strong analytical skills and can break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development. Your experience in software development or engineering enhances your ability to connect the technical and business worlds effectively.

Desirable

A Master's degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred, along with 3 years of experience in a business function or role such as strategic marketing, business operations, or consulting. You have a proven track record of technical leadership and are excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of technology.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and marketers. You will validate market size and opportunities, ensuring that the product vision aligns with user needs and strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include driving product launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with various cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You will be instrumental in securing buy-in for the product vision and direction, achieving outcomes that exceed expectations.
