Enviva is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator responsible for the logistical movement of raw and finished production. You'll operate heavy industrial equipment and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This position requires internal company certification and the ability to follow job instructions.
You are a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to safety and quality in the workplace. You understand the importance of following standard operating procedures and are capable of operating heavy industrial equipment such as Front-End Loaders and caterpillar forest machines. Your attention to detail ensures that you can inspect equipment and report any issues promptly. You are proficient in maintaining proper paperwork and understand the significance of daily checks and basic maintenance to keep equipment in good working order. You are a team player who values collaboration and communication in achieving operational goals.
Internal company certification is required for this role, demonstrating your commitment to safety and operational excellence. You have the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal job instructions, which is crucial for success in this position. Your proactive approach to housekeeping duties ensures that your work area meets company standards, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
As a Mobile Equipment Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for the logistical movement of raw and finished production through the operational process on assigned shifts. You will operate heavy industrial equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Your role will involve unloading log trucks and loading logs into production equipment and storage areas, requiring you to be skilled in handling various types of fiber and understanding mix targets.
You will perform daily checks and basic maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and greasing, to ensure everything is in good working order. Monitoring and adjusting wood yard control room operating parameters will be part of your responsibilities, as you strive to meet target safety, quality, and productivity goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper documentation and performing daily housekeeping duties to keep your work area up to company standards.
