Senior Software Engineer

Who you are

You have over 5 years of industry experience in backend development, particularly with Java, and have a strong understanding of performance and scalability principles. Your expertise extends to frontend development with JavaScript and TypeScript, and you are comfortable working with frameworks such as React. You have a deep knowledge of Spring and have hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable microservices that provide REST APIs. You are adept at troubleshooting and debugging software, and you embrace DevOps practices in your work.

You thrive in an agile team environment and enjoy collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering leaders to deliver high-quality software solutions. You understand the importance of writing unit and functional tests and are committed to documenting your work clearly. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders is one of your key strengths, and you are passionate about fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.

Desirable

Experience with cloud contact center software or CRM integrations would be a plus. Familiarity with additional web development technologies, including HTML and CSS, is also beneficial. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Five9, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on integrating the Five9 dialer into various CRM systems. You will develop a scalable and highly available global voice platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of customers worldwide. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software code using Java and JavaScript, while also leveraging frameworks like Spring and React. Your expertise in backend and frontend technologies will be crucial as you work on creating seamless integrations and enhancing the overall customer experience.

In addition to development tasks, you will troubleshoot and support the current platform in production, applying your DevOps mindset to ensure high availability and performance. You will write unit and functional tests to validate your code and contribute to the overall quality of the software. Your ability to document your work and communicate effectively with team members will help foster a collaborative environment.
