Overview

Vercel is seeking a Sales Engineer to support high-growth startups in adopting their platform. You'll leverage your technical expertise and sales strategy to engage with early-stage companies. This role requires strong knowledge of modern web technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical sales and a passion for modern web technology — you understand the startup ecosystem and have experience working with early-stage companies. Your technical expertise allows you to guide founders through deployment best practices, ensuring they can scale effectively with Vercel. You are skilled in building relationships with venture partners and incubators, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can advocate for developers and their needs. You are comfortable designing and executing go-to-market strategies, including community activations and webinars, to engage with startups and help them succeed. You are a proactive communicator who can convey complex technical concepts in an accessible manner, making you an effective liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and developer tools is a plus, as is familiarity with the Vercel platform and its offerings. You may also have a background in software development or engineering, which enhances your ability to connect with technical teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will engage directly with pre-seed and seed-stage startups, helping them adopt and scale with Vercel from day one. You will design and execute scalable go-to-market motions, including community activations, webinars, and live events, to cultivate relationships with venture partners, incubators, and startup programs globally. You will leverage your technical knowledge to guide founders through deployment best practices, accelerating their time-to-value on Vercel. You will identify high-potential startups for deeper engagement with our Account Executives, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the startup experience on the Vercel platform, contributing to the overall mission of enabling the world to ship the best products.
