TerrAscend is seeking an IPM Technician to support the cultivation facilities' Integrated Pest Management plan. You'll assist with plant maintenance and perform routine monitoring and documentation. This role is ideal for those looking to start their career in the cannabis industry.
You are someone who is eager to start your career in the cannabis industry, ready to contribute to a team that values quality, care, and community. You understand the importance of following Standard Operating Procedures and are committed to supporting the cultivation facilities' Integrated Pest Management plan. You possess strong situational awareness and emotional intelligence, allowing you to work effectively within a diverse team. You are detail-oriented and capable of performing routine monitoring and documentation of plant populations in various stages of development.
While not required, any previous experience in horticulture or pest management would be beneficial. A willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-paced environment of cannabis cultivation is essential. You should be comfortable working under the supervision of a certified pesticide applicator and be open to receiving guidance and feedback.
As an IPM Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out tasks that align with the company's Integrated Pest Management plan. This includes routine monitoring and scouting for plant health issues, documenting findings, and assisting Cultivation Associates with plant maintenance and everyday cultivation tasks. You will be involved in cleaning rooms after harvest and preparing them for re-loads, ensuring that all procedures are followed meticulously. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying potential problems and communicating effectively with your team to address them. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the cultivation process.
