Staff Front-end Engineer, New Fintech Product

Who you are

You have over 7 years of experience in web frontend development, demonstrating a strong command of JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS. Your expertise includes working with frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue.js, and Angular, allowing you to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces. You are familiar with Next.js and have experience operating on AWS, which is essential for this role. Your understanding of web standards and browser compatibility ensures that the applications you develop provide a consistent experience across different platforms.

You possess a solid background in creating high-availability, scalable, and reusable UI components. You are adept at analyzing and working with complex or unfamiliar code, showcasing your problem-solving skills. Your knowledge of usability, Lean UX design, and conceptual modeling allows you to contribute effectively to the user experience. You are a proactive individual with a positive attitude, eager to improve services and grow independently while collaborating effectively with your team.

Desirable

You have experience with agile software methodologies and understand client performance optimization techniques, particularly in browser loading and rendering. Your familiarity with SPA, SSR, and in-app browser environments enhances your ability to develop robust applications. Additionally, you have experience in web development using Node.js, Express, or NestJS, and have been involved in the design, construction, and operation of large-scale services. Proficiency in Git and CI/CD tools is also part of your skill set, along with experience in the Spring Framework and microservice architecture.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, and software engineers to develop and operate frontend products for Coupang's payment services. You will participate in system design reviews and code reviews, contributing your insights to enhance the overall quality of the product. Engaging in discussions with senior developers regarding system design will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to share your expertise and learn from others.

You will be responsible for developing user interfaces that integrate complex payment services, ensuring a convenient and swift online payment experience for users. Your work will involve experimenting and challenging the status quo to achieve the best user experience possible. You will also analyze user feedback and performance metrics to iterate on the product, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of customers.
