Apple is hiring a CAD Engineer – Design Verification Methodology to develop and enhance software systems for regression-testing silicon designs. You'll work with Python, C, and C++ to ensure high-performance chip designs. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
You have a minimum of a BS degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in CAD engineering, particularly in design verification methodology. Your background in Python programming is essential, and familiarity with C and C++ is a plus. You possess strong problem-solving skills and can diagnose complex issues effectively, guiding engineers through challenges they encounter. Your innovative ideas will contribute to the design of next-generation regression systems, ensuring that Apple’s silicon designs meet the highest standards.
Experience debugging vendor tool problems will set you apart, as you will work closely with EDA vendors to incorporate new capabilities and resolve issues. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will enhance collaboration within the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing sophisticated software systems that are crucial for regression-testing Apple’s silicon designs. You will work on software simulation to identify and report defects in chip designs, ensuring that Apple tapes out world-class silicon.
