* 日本のコンプライアンスチームの一員として、日本への輸入商品に関するコンプライアンス方針の設定と維持管理
* 以下の分野における戦略的な輸入コンプライアンスプログラムの責任者として従事
* 日本における製品安全認証・技術基準（PSE電気用品安全法対象の家電製品、電波法技適マーク対象の無線通信機器等）の管理
* 経済産業省(METI)、総務省(MIC)、厚生労働省(MHLW)等の規制当局との関係構築

Global Trade Services empowers vendors, and internal business partners to efficiently move compliant and safe products across borders at scale. We are looking for a smart, hardworking and creative Sr Product Compliance Manager to join the Japan Compliance team. In this role, you will own setting and maintaining compliance policies for a wide variety of consumer goods imported into Japan. You will balance risk management with business enablement as you work together with business teams, compliance operations teams, worldwide tech and product stakeholders to manage the import product compliance program in Japan.
As a successful candidate, you will have a good understanding of product compliance, regulatory affairs, Japanese regulators and cross border movement of goods into Japan. This includes product testing, certification and marking schemes used to ensure compliance of a wide variety of consumer goods with Japanese regulatory requirements. In this role you will develop and lead strategy for the GTS- PC team, partner with the legal, business and logistics teams to ensure compliance of goods. You will be comfortable using a business level proficiency in Japanese to manage product compliance and directly engage with regulators and government authorities. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve technology and coordinate improvements with the products team. * Manage and maintain compliance policies relevant to Japan compliance requirements – including JP certification and technical standards (consumer electronics subject to PSE and wireless communication devices with Giteki mark), and regulatory enforcement practices of Japanese authorities such Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW).
* Manage strategic initiatives, such as outreach and relationship building with regulators, suppliers, laboratories, customs brokers, and internal business partners.
* Generate communication materials appropriate for internal and external audiences that highlight compliance programs, systems and best practices.
* Identify needs for scalable tech solutions and influence stakeholders to drive tools availability and effectiveness, and ensure they are surfaced to the correct teams with the right supporting data in a timely manner.
* Develop and execute mechanisms for continuous improvement.

A day in the life
While no two days will be the same, tasks and responsibilities that are likely to come up would include:
* Engaging directly with compliance operations team to resolve issues and drive program improvements.
* Monitor Japanese regulations for potential impact and own change management procedures to implement such changes, before risks arise on customers as well as Amazon.
* Driving alignment on risk calibration with legal to define compliance policies
* Planning and executing against strategy to achieve local and global objectives.
* Collaborating with regional (APAC) and global stakeholders to draft documents for internal review.
* Analyzing data that describe compliance programs performance.
About the team
This role will work closely with global compliance teams, business teams, and legal stakeholders in Japan and across APAC region. Team members will include Japan-based Trade and Product Compliance Managers as well as international counterparts based in Singapore, China, Australia and worldwide. This role will be supported by operations team that execute a transactional task related to the product compliance program.
• Location:
Tokyo Office- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Knowledge of and experience managing of JP compliance frameworks, JP certification and technical standards (consumer electronics subject to PSE and wireless communication devices with Giteki mark), and regulatory enforcement practices of Japanese authorities such Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW).- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience effectively managing engagements with Japanese authorities regulating consumer goods such Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW).
