Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your background includes 3 years of full-stack development experience, working with back-end technologies such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You have spent at least 3 years in a technical leadership role and 2 years in a people management or team leadership position. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with 5 years of experience leading teams in testing, maintaining, or launching software products. You also have 2 years of experience leading Machine Learning design or implementing ML-powered features or products. Your experience extends to building developer tools, such as compilers and test automation frameworks, and you are familiar with open source projects and ecosystems. You have a strong foundation in using data science or statistical methods to develop insights and solve complex problems.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Google, you will guide your team in designing, building, and maintaining back-end services, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and User Interfaces (UI) to support the development of agents. You will work closely with data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze data for model evaluation and metric tracking. Your role will involve navigating complex problem spaces and adapting to evolving technologies. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and ensure that your team is empowered to optimize their code and processes. You will also be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment, mentoring team members, and driving the technical direction of projects. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the successful launch and maintenance of software products that align with Google's ambitious goals.
