Job Description

Lead a transformative team that's building an AI-powered, predictive merchandising system that will revolutionize how Amazon connects with customers. You'll be at the forefront of combining large language models, customer intelligence, and automated marketing workflows to create hyper-personalized shopping experiences.

Merchandising Tech team helps customers discover and engage with new, popular and relevant products, and Prime benefits, across Amazon worldwide. We do this by combining technology, science, innovation and creativity to build new customer-facing features and experiences alongside Gen AI tools for marketers. You will be responsible for creating products that help customers to shop cross-category, easily discover new ideas, categories and brands to help with shopping or entertainment. Through leveraging machine-learning models, you will drive opportunities to automate Amazon’s cross-category marketing and merchandising and will help to deliver the best possible shopping experience for Amazon’s customers all over the globe.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead the technical implementation of ML/Gen AI systems that can perform at Amazon scale
• Architect solutions that process complex customer signals to deliver personalized recommendations across multiple channels
• Create intelligent content delivery systems that optimize placement and timing of customer communications

About the team
You'll join a passionate group of engineers, scientists, and product leaders who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in customer relationship management. We operate at massive scale while maintaining the agility to experiment and innovate rapidly.

If you're excited about building the future of customer engagement using latest technology, we want to talk to you!- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
