We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team at CI&T. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional squads to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of digital products for our global clients. You will design and implement both manual and automated testing strategies, actively contribute to continuous integration and delivery practices, and work closely with developers and product managers to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences.
Main Responsibilities:
● Design, implement, and maintain manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and stability.
● Develop test strategies, test plans, and detailed test scenarios based on product requirements.
● Execute exploratory, regression, and smoke tests on mobile, web, and backend systems.
● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure clarity of requirements and quality expectations.
● Apply testing practices aligned with the test pyramid (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
● Analyze test results, report bugs with clarity, and validate fixes.
● Support and guide the team in quality metrics definition and test coverage goals.
● Implement quality gates in CI/CD environments and monitor testing KPIs.
● Continuously contribute to improving testing tools, frameworks, and processes.
● Participate in agile ceremonies and advocate for high-quality software delivery.
Requirements:
● Solid experience in software testing: planning, execution, reporting, and documentation.
● Proficiency in test automation (API, UI, integration, regression) using tools like Cypress, Selenium, or REST Assured.
● Experience with mobile and web application testing across platforms and browsers.
● Familiarity with SQL and database validation in test scenarios.
● Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
● Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, QA best practices, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
● Advanced English proficiency for communication with global teams.
Nice to Have:
● Knowledge of backend testing and microservices architecture.
● Familiarity with performance, load, and security testing.
● Experience with NoSQL databases.
● Programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Node.js. ● Familiarity with generative AI or prompt engineering for test generation.
● Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Selenium Tester, or equivalent.
