AppDirect is seeking a Lead Software Developer to take on a technical leadership role within a team of developers. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable features on the platform, utilizing your expertise in Java. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to code quality.
You have a strong background in software development with a focus on leading technical teams — your experience includes mentoring less experienced developers and guiding them through complex problem-solving scenarios. You are proficient in Java and have a solid understanding of scalable and maintainable code practices. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy participating in code reviews and technical discussions. Your curiosity drives you to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your team's performance.
Experience with cloud platforms or subscription-based services would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies. You are comfortable communicating in English, which is essential for collaborating with international teams across various regions.
In this role, you will lead a team of 5 to 7 developers, working closely with product managers and UX designers to enhance the existing features of the AppDirect platform. You will tackle complex technical challenges and ensure that the code produced is scalable, testable, and maintainable. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough code reviews, participating in technical discussions, and driving the team's mentorship program for new and junior members. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality work that aligns with the company's values and culture.
