Verkada is seeking a Senior Customer Marketing Manager to build and nurture relationships with strategic customers. You'll focus on creating impactful advocacy activities and networking across various industries. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and experience in customer engagement.
You have a proven track record in customer marketing, with at least 5 years of experience in building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Your ability to connect with customers across various industries — from manufacturing to education — allows you to identify and showcase their success stories effectively. You thrive in networking environments and are skilled at engaging with internal sales teams to uncover exciting narratives that can be shared publicly.
Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to articulate the value of customer stories in a way that resonates with diverse audiences. You understand the importance of creating a robust network of contacts, and you are adept at maintaining these relationships over time. You are proactive and resourceful, always looking for new opportunities to highlight customer successes through webinars, case studies, and other advocacy initiatives.
Experience in a technology or SaaS environment is a plus, as it gives you a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by customers in these sectors. Familiarity with physical security solutions or cloud-based platforms will enhance your ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a customer marketing strategy that focuses on building relationships with key accounts. You will work closely with internal sales representatives to identify customers with compelling stories to tell. Your goal is to create a “rolodex” of 50-100 contacts that can be leveraged for various marketing initiatives, including webinars, case studies, and in-person events.
You will proactively reach out to customers, establishing rapport and understanding their unique challenges and successes. By collaborating with them, you will develop a plan to showcase their organization publicly, enhancing their visibility while also promoting Verkada's solutions. Your efforts will contribute to building a strong community of advocates who can share their experiences and insights with others.
You will also analyze the effectiveness of customer marketing initiatives, using data to refine strategies and improve engagement. By tracking metrics and gathering feedback, you will ensure that the advocacy activities resonate with both customers and potential clients.
