Staff Enterprise Security Engineer (Client Platform)

Who you are

You have extensive experience in security engineering, particularly focused on client platforms, and possess a deep understanding of macOS security internals. Your strong software development skills enable you to write production code daily, and you are proficient in languages such as Go, Swift, Objective-C, and Python. You have a solid background in systems engineering, particularly with mobile device management (MDM) and configuration management, which allows you to implement effective security guardrails. You thrive in hands-on engineering roles and are passionate about building scalable security solutions that protect organizational assets.

Experience with automation tools and security frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with configuration-as-code practices. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building security services and tools that enhance the security posture of Gemini's client platforms. You will work on hardening the macOS fleet and securing endpoint management platforms, ensuring that security is integrated into the development lifecycle. Your daily tasks will include writing production code and designing endpoint security platforms that scale across the organization. You will implement configuration-as-code security guardrails to automate security processes and reduce human error. Collaborating closely with IT, you will identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively. You will also stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, adapting your strategies to protect against emerging risks.
