You have experience working on and shipping large-scale Android/iOS applications — your background includes a strong understanding of mobile development principles and best practices. You are proficient in Kotlin and Swift, and you keep up-to-date with the latest Android/iOS industry developments. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to build complex features and products from concept to execution.
You are committed to writing well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code — you understand the importance of code quality and are always looking for ways to improve your coding practices. You have a knack for analyzing internal systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and automation. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, whether through tech talks, brown bags, or mentoring junior engineers.
As an Android Engineer at Lyft, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the rider experience by building great user experiences for millions of users. You will keep up-to-date with Android/iOS developments, ensuring that your work aligns with industry standards and user expectations. You will partner with product managers and designers to build complex features and products, taking them from idea to positive execution.
