Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in production scheduling, ideally within a manufacturing environment, and possess strong leadership skills to guide a team of Production Schedulers. Your experience includes developing and maintaining rate-based schedules, identifying part shortages, and projecting long-term rate needs. You are adept at collaborating cross-functionally with production and supply chain teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of hardware. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to promoting continuous improvements in yield, quality, and efficiency.

Desirable

Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing is a plus, as is familiarity with capacity analysis and automation tools. You understand the importance of stakeholder buy-in and can effectively communicate scheduling scenarios to secure support for optimal hardware allocation. Your analytical mindset allows you to monitor key metrics and escalate threats proactively, ensuring that production capabilities are scalable for future missions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of Production Schedulers to develop and maintain rate-based schedules for Starship hardware. You will be responsible for creating prioritized work orders and tracking constraints across builds for upcoming missions. Your leadership will guide the team in identifying part shortages and projecting long-term rate needs, ensuring that work centers have the necessary resources to meet production goals. You will partner with production and supply chain teams to set schedules that align with customer needs and mission manifests, factoring in quality requirements.

You will also be tasked with monitoring key production metrics and escalating any threats to on-time delivery. Your focus on continuous improvement will drive efforts to enhance yield, quality, and efficiency in the production process. By collaborating with various teams, you will help to mitigate risks and optimize hardware allocation between new and refurbished units, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
