Machine Learning Engineer - Perception (Internship)

Who you are

You are currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028. You have a strong passion for making people's lives better through technology and innovation. Your experience includes working with data libraries such as Jupyter, NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn, which are essential for data manipulation and analysis. You are familiar with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, and you have a keen interest in video generation models and large-scale pre-training. Good proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in Japanese is a nice-to-have.

What you'll do

In this internship, you will participate in a meaningful project that impacts Woven by Toyota's future key results. You will work closely with world-class engineers who will mentor you throughout the program. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing machine learning models for perception tasks, analyzing data sets, and collaborating with your team to enhance mobility solutions. You will also have the opportunity to explore advanced topics such as training or scaling transformers and diffusion models for vision and video applications. Additionally, you may engage in distributed training experiences using frameworks like DDP, FSDP, or DeepSpeed, and utilize AWS services to support your projects.
