Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Program Manager for New Product Introduction to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You'll work closely with engineering teams and manage cross-functional initiatives. This role requires 5+ years of program management experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes driving, building, and qualifying New Product Introduction (NPI) process stages with engineering teams. You have experience working in hardware or contract manufacturing for supply chain operations, which gives you a solid understanding of the complexities involved in these areas.

You are skilled in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, demonstrating your ability to lead diverse groups towards a common goal. Your experience with hardware programs, such as PCBA, or networking products like NICs, switches, optics, and racks, equips you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role. You also have a strong grasp of Supply/Demand planning, which is crucial for optimizing operations.

Your ability to navigate ambiguity and continuously improve business processes and tools sets you apart. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved. As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex projects from start to finish, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.

Desirable

Experience in leading operational initiatives and managing cross-functional trade-offs across multiple regions is a plus. You thrive in environments where you can drive change and improve processes, making you an ideal candidate for this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams. Your responsibilities will include driving parameters and ensuring that production transitions meet program goals. You will manage ramp readiness with internal teams and external partners, focusing on material availability, cost, assembly, testing, Bill of Materials (BOM), capacity readiness, and transition plans.

You will drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific reasons while accounting for risks and changes in schedule or demand. Your ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company will be essential as you coordinate players and keep them updated on progress and deadlines.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that builds products that create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. You will have the chance to work on innovative projects that have a significant impact on the industry. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

You will enjoy a collaborative work environment where your contributions are recognized and valued. Google offers competitive compensation and benefits, ensuring that you are well-supported in your role. Join us in shaping the future of technology and making a difference in the world.
