Amazon is hiring a Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to support the production of low Earth orbit satellites for its Leo broadband network. You'll be responsible for assembling and testing avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies. This role requires attention to detail and experience in manufacturing processes.
You have experience in manufacturing assembly, particularly with electrical and mechanical components — you understand the intricacies of assembling avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in your work environment. Your ability to handle and install fiber optics and PCBAs is essential, as is your familiarity with lab equipment maintenance and calibration. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by the challenge of building innovative solutions from the ground up.
Experience with satellite technology or broadband systems is a plus, as is familiarity with preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, contributing to the success of the Leo satellite constellation.
In this role, you will champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations, ensuring that all assembly processes adhere to strict safety protocols. You will assemble and test a variety of avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies, with a strong emphasis on detail and quality. Your responsibilities will include handling and installing fiber optics and PCBAs, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. You will also be tasked with maintaining and calibrating lab equipment, supporting preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems. Your contributions will directly impact the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of the Leo satellites, playing a crucial role in delivering fast and reliable internet to customers worldwide.
