Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on algorithms and machine learning. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to frame problems both mathematically and within a business context. Your coding skills allow you to write production-level modeling code, ensuring that your algorithms are effectively integrated into systems. Desirable

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist on the Fulfillment team, you will drive the science and machine learning roadmap for your area of focus. You will leverage data and analytic frameworks to create and improve algorithms that underpin Lyft's core services. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers and product managers to frame and solve complex problems, ensuring that your solutions align with business objectives. You will conduct exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges at hand, constructing and fitting statistical, machine learning, or optimization models as needed. Your work will directly impact the matching of rideshare supply and demand in real-time, enhancing the experiences of both Lyft Riders and Drivers. You will also be responsible for writing production modeling code and collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of your algorithms.

Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the Seattle area, with base pay between $136,160 and $170,200, not including potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
