You are an entry-level Data Scientist with a foundational understanding of data analysis and modeling. You have experience with SQL and Python, and you are eager to apply your skills in a healthcare context. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Market P&L, Tech, and Legal, to drive insights that inform business decisions. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data. You understand the importance of healthcare reimbursement and are motivated to learn more about the industry. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.
Experience with data visualization tools and familiarity with healthcare data would be a plus. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team. A background in statistics or a related field would also be beneficial.
As a Data Scientist I at Oscar, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines that support the analysis of medical costs across Oscar's networks. You will work closely with the Senior Data Scientist to develop models that help inform negotiations with out-of-network providers. Oscar offers a competitive salary range of $119,200 to $156,450 per year, along with comprehensive employee benefits.
