Flexport is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Customs team to drive growth in international trade solutions. You'll leverage your expertise in import trade compliance to identify and close new business opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of customs and trade management.
You have 5+ years of experience in business development, particularly in the customs and trade management sector. Your expertise in import trade compliance allows you to effectively identify value propositions that resonate with clients. You are a subject matter expert who can navigate complex import projects and provide strategic insights to both prospects and clients. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance global trade. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Demand and Customer Success Managers. You are results-driven and have a proven track record of closing new business opportunities in a competitive landscape.
Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with global trade regulations and compliance standards. A background in consulting or advisory roles related to international trade can further enhance your candidacy. You are comfortable working with data and analytics to inform your strategies and decisions.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of Flexport's Customs and Trade Management products. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding the Demand organization in defining and solving import projects for clients. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to close deals effectively. You will collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure that client needs are met and that they receive exceptional service throughout the engagement. You will also be involved in educating clients about the value of Flexport's solutions and how they can streamline their import processes. Your insights will help shape the future of Flexport's offerings in the customs space, contributing to the company's mission of making global commerce easier.
