Huntress is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to enhance the stability and scalability of their Security Platform. You'll work with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to build and monitor infrastructure. This role requires significant experience in platform engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your background includes working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and you have a deep understanding of containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. You are proficient in Linux environments and have experience in monitoring and optimizing system performance. You thrive in a fully remote setting and are comfortable collaborating with a global team of experts.
You are passionate about cybersecurity and understand the importance of resilience and stability in platform engineering. You have a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and enhance the developer experience. You enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and are eager to share your knowledge and mentor others.
Experience with security-focused platforms or products is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
As a Staff Platform Engineer at Huntress, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the Huntress Security Platform. You will work closely with the development team to provide a first-class development platform, ensuring that our millions of installed endpoint agents are tracked and supported throughout their lifecycle. Your role will involve proactively monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to enhance stability and scalability.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of our developers and customers. This includes working on automation and orchestration tasks to streamline processes and improve efficiency. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise within the platform, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices within the team. Your expertise will help shape the direction of our platform engineering efforts and contribute to the overall success of Huntress.
Huntress offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $170,000 to $195,000, plus bonuses and equity. You will be part of a fully remote team that values collaboration and innovation.
