Overview

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally in field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments — you've successfully navigated complex sales processes and have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals of $1M+ with an average deal size of $100k+. You possess a deep understanding of customer business needs and can effectively communicate the value of solutions tailored to their specific challenges. Your resourcefulness shines when faced with obstacles, and you have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. You are driven and thrive in a collaborative environment, valuing the relationships you build with clients and colleagues alike.

Desirable

Experience with Fortune 1000 companies is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud solutions and the ability to articulate their benefits to potential clients. You are comfortable negotiating favorable pricing and business terms, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales approach.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Developing a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses will be crucial as you identify their pain points and deliver appropriate Datadog solutions. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, selling value and ROI effectively. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be key to your success. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions, ensuring that you maintain high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales efforts.
