Amplitude is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead Governance, Risk & Compliance initiatives. You'll work closely with the CISO to enhance the company's security posture and support strategic governance efforts. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in GRC.
You have extensive experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) — you've successfully led GRC initiatives in a technology-driven environment and understand the complexities of risk management. Your leadership skills are complemented by a hands-on approach, allowing you to influence and execute GRC goals effectively. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to elevate security postures and support business objectives. You are committed to fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization, ensuring that all stakeholders understand their roles in maintaining security standards.
You possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards — your expertise enables you to design and implement governance frameworks that align with business strategies. You are adept at balancing strategic governance with time-sensitive deal work, ensuring that compliance efforts do not hinder business agility. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess risks comprehensively and develop actionable plans to mitigate them.
You are passionate about creating an inclusive environment — you believe that diversity drives innovation and enhances problem-solving capabilities. You are dedicated to mentoring and developing team members, fostering their growth in the GRC domain. You understand the importance of psychological safety and empathy in building strong teams that can navigate challenges together.
Experience with AI-driven analytics platforms is a plus — familiarity with tools like Amplitude can enhance your ability to leverage data for informed decision-making. A background in cybersecurity or information security management will further strengthen your candidacy, as you will be responsible for elevating the company's security posture.
As the Senior Risk Manager at Amplitude, you will report directly to the CISO and take charge of the Governance, Risk & Compliance function. Your primary responsibility will be to design and drive governance efforts across the organization, ensuring that GRC practices are integrated into all aspects of the business. You will work closely with various teams to mature risk management processes, enabling the organization to respond effectively to emerging risks and compliance challenges.
You will lead initiatives to assess and mitigate risks associated with business operations — this includes conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to GRC policies and procedures, ensuring that they are up-to-date and accessible to all stakeholders.
In addition to governance efforts, you will support go-to-market (GTM) strategies by providing GRC insights that inform decision-making during deal negotiations. Your ability to balance strategic governance with the demands of time-sensitive projects will be crucial in this role. You will collaborate with sales and product teams to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into product offerings and customer engagements.
You will play a key role in fostering a culture of compliance within the organization — this involves training and educating employees on GRC policies and best practices, as well as promoting awareness of the importance of risk management. You will also be involved in incident response planning and execution, ensuring that the organization is prepared to address any security incidents that may arise.

We offer competitive compensation packages, including salary and benefits that reflect your experience and contributions.
