Sonatype is hiring a Senior Account Manager to serve as the primary commercial and strategic guide for high-value Strategic Accounts in France. You'll leverage deep technical fluency and business acumen to drive growth and ensure customer success.

Who you are

You have a strong background in account management with at least 5 years of experience in a strategic role — you understand the nuances of managing high-value accounts and have a proven track record of driving growth through consultative selling. Your technical fluency allows you to engage deeply with customers, helping them understand how Sonatype's solutions can meet their business needs. You are adept at building relationships and trust with key stakeholders, ensuring that they view Sonatype as an essential partner in their software supply chain security journey.

You possess sharp business acumen — you can analyze customer needs and align them with Sonatype's offerings to create compelling value propositions. Your experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) equips you with the knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits of our solutions to technical and non-technical audiences alike. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Customer Success and Solutions Engineers to ensure that customers achieve lasting success with our products.

You are results-driven and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction — you take pride in defending existing annual recurring revenue (ARR) while also identifying opportunities for expansion within your accounts. Your consultative approach enables you to navigate complex customer landscapes and advocate for their needs within Sonatype.

Desirable

Experience in software supply chain security or related fields is a plus — you understand the challenges enterprises face in securing their software development processes. Familiarity with open-source software and dependency management will help you engage more effectively with customers. A background in technical sales or account management within the tech industry will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the strategic heartbeat for Sonatype's most critical customers in the French region — you will act as the primary point of contact, guiding them through their journey with our solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing account strategies that align with customer goals, ensuring that they derive maximum value from our offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that address specific customer challenges, leveraging your deep understanding of the SDLC to map Sonatype's capabilities to their business outcomes.

You will conduct regular business reviews with your accounts, assessing their satisfaction and identifying areas for improvement. Your ability to analyze customer data and feedback will inform your strategies and help you proactively address any issues that arise. You will also play a key role in driving renewals and expansions, working closely with the sales team to identify upsell opportunities and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Your role will require you to stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings — you will use this knowledge to position Sonatype effectively in the market and advocate for our customers' needs. You will also contribute to the development of best practices within the account management team, sharing insights and strategies that can enhance our overall approach to customer success.
