Product Design Intern - Summer 2026 (New York)

Who you are

You are a curious and collaborative student currently studying at a college or university, eager to dive into the world of product design. You possess a creative mindset and are excited about tackling complex and challenging problems in a team environment. Your passion for design is matched by your desire to learn from experienced mentors who will guide you throughout your internship. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside diverse teams that include Engineering, User Research, Product Management, and Data Science. You are open to feedback and enjoy combining research and data insights to create impactful design solutions.

Desirable

Experience with design tools such as Figma is a plus, as it will help you contribute effectively to the team. A background in user experience or interaction design can also enhance your ability to understand user needs and design accordingly.

What you'll do

During your 12-week summer internship at Asana, you will engage directly with the Design team, contributing to projects that aim to simplify teamwork for users. You will collaborate with dedicated Design mentors who are committed to your success, providing you with valuable insights and guidance. Your role will involve working on real design challenges, where you will apply your creativity and problem-solving skills to develop user-centered design solutions. You will participate in design reviews, gather feedback, and iterate on your designs to ensure they meet user needs and align with Asana's mission. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to various aspects of product development and enhancing your understanding of how design fits into the larger picture.
