You have a strong background in data center operations, with at least 5 years of experience managing critical infrastructure systems. Your expertise includes overseeing facilities-related issues and ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. You are skilled in performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting within established service level agreements (SLAs). You have a proven track record of providing training and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. You are comfortable working with various critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and cooling systems. Your ability to adapt to new technologies and practices is essential in this ever-evolving field.
Experience with advanced data center technologies and practices is a plus. Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing infrastructure will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
As the Data Center Chief Engineer, you will act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the management of routine and emergency services on critical systems, including power distribution equipment and cooling systems. Your role will involve performing root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting issues to maintain high operational standards. You will collaborate closely with the Facility Manager to set team culture and ensure that engineering operations technicians are well-trained and supported. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and deploying new standard practices that enhance operational efficiency and safety in the data center environment.
