Overview

Zoox is seeking a Systems Engineer to ensure the safety and availability of body systems for autonomous vehicles. You'll collaborate with hardware and software engineers to establish requirements traceability. This role requires expertise in systems engineering.

You have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in ensuring the safety and reliability of complex systems. You understand the importance of end-to-end traceability of requirements and have a collaborative mindset that allows you to work effectively with hardware and software engineers. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in delivering a driverless robotaxi service at scale.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about advancing technology in the autonomous vehicle space. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are skilled at developing solutions that enhance system performance and safety. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will help you work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable

Experience in the automotive or robotics industry is a plus, as is familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to autonomous systems. You may also have experience with systems modeling tools and methodologies that support the development of safety-critical systems.

What you'll do

As a Systems Engineer at Zoox, you will take ownership of the safety and availability of body systems functions and components. You will collaborate closely with a team of world-class engineers to define and document requirements for body systems components. Your role will involve establishing end-to-end traceability of these requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the system meet safety and performance standards.
