Enviva is hiring a Mechanical Technician for their 3rd shift to ensure proper preventive maintenance on critical machinery in pellet manufacturing. You'll work with various equipment and tools, requiring skills in AutoCAD and Linux.
You have experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, particularly in industrial settings. You are skilled in assembling, cutting, threading, and laying pipes, and you understand the importance of preventive maintenance in ensuring machinery operates efficiently. You are familiar with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, and pumps, and you have a strong attention to detail when it comes to documentation and adherence to procedures. You are comfortable using hand and power tools, welding machines, and other equipment necessary for maintenance tasks. You are proactive in analyzing equipment performance and suggesting improvements to maintenance programs.
Experience with renewable energy systems or bioenergy solutions is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in industrial environments will help you excel in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on machinery associated with pellet manufacturing. You will coordinate lubrication schedules and maintain detailed reports of maintenance activities. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues with various types of equipment, ensuring that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and maintenance processes. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
