Microsoft is hiring a Lease Construction Project Manager to oversee the complete project delivery of datacenter lease sites. You'll manage teams and vendors while ensuring compliance with Microsoft’s guidelines. This role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Who you are

You have a strong background in project and construction management, with experience in datacenter design and engineering. Your interpersonal and communication skills allow you to effectively manage teams and vendors, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet all operational requirements. You are self-directed and possess excellent organizational skills, which help you navigate complex project landscapes. You understand the importance of safety in the workplace and advocate for a safe worksite as part of your project management philosophy.

You are familiar with the Data Center Development (DCD) guidelines and standards, and you are adept at adjusting project plans based on best practices and lessons learned from previous projects. Your ability to coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders is crucial in achieving the Ready for Service (RFS) status for each lease datacenter site. You are committed to ensuring compliance with Microsoft’s requirements in lease contracts, which is essential for successful project execution.

What you'll do

As a Lease Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the complete project delivery from lease execution through to RFS for each lease site location. You will align team objectives with business processes and vendor management strategies, ensuring that all project milestones are met. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders to support the efforts of achieving RFS for each datacenter site. You will manage the delivery of projects, ensuring that they adhere to Microsoft’s guidelines and standards.

You will be a relentless advocate for safety on the worksite, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe environment for all team members. Your responsibilities will include managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. You will also be involved in cross-group collaboration efforts, working closely with other teams to ensure that project objectives are met. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
