Overview

Google is seeking a Data Engineer for their YouTube Marketing team to build and maintain data infrastructure that supports marketing strategies. You'll work with SQL, Apache Spark, and Hadoop to design and optimize data pipelines. This role requires 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 3 years of experience in an investigative role such as media analytics, advertising sales, consulting, or financial analysis. Your background includes coding and working with relational databases, where you have developed SQL queries and defined database schemas. You are experienced in designing data pipelines and dimensional data modeling for both synchronous and asynchronous system integration and implementation, utilizing both internal and external technology stacks.

You have a strong understanding of big data technologies, including Hadoop and Spark, and have experience supporting client-side media and marketing data science. Your ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders is a key asset, as is your understanding of incrementality measurement methodologies and frameworks. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are proactive and flexible, adapting to the constantly evolving needs of the business.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a vital part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that fuels our marketing strategy. You will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility for advanced analytics. Your work will enable the marketing team to leverage data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and measure the impact of marketing initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data science, engineering, and analytics, to understand data requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.

You will also be responsible for optimizing data infrastructure for performance, efficiency, and scalability to meet evolving business needs. Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports will be part of your responsibilities, providing actionable insights to the marketing team. Your contributions will directly influence how marketing strategies are developed and executed, ensuring that data accuracy and integrity are upheld throughout the process.
