Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Furnishing Platform team to build scalable systems and data pipelines. You'll work closely with various teams to design robust reporting systems. This role requires expertise in Java and experience in backend development.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable backend systems. Your expertise in Java allows you to design and implement robust solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product, compliance, and credit teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can provide clarity and direction to your team as they tackle complex problems. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. You are passionate about creating systems that are not only functional but also scalable and maintainable.
Experience with data pipelines and consumer credit reporting systems would be a plus. Familiarity with cloud services and modern software development practices will help you excel in this role. You are always eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your team's performance.
In this role, you will own and deliver strategic outcomes by driving the definition and delivery of quarterly and long-term goals.
