Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to develop the auction infrastructure for Search Ads. You'll work with C++ and large-scale systems to enhance Google's ad products. This position requires 2 years of experience in programming and infrastructure development.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience programming in C++. Your background includes developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you possess a solid understanding of compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You are familiar with data structures and algorithms, and you have experience developing accessible technologies. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields is preferred, but not mandatory. You are versatile and display leadership qualities, eager to tackle new challenges across the full-stack as technology evolves.
As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of Google's auction infrastructure for Search Ads. Your role involves evaluating the impact of changes through experimentation and data analysis, ensuring that the infrastructure can handle massive scale. You will participate in technical discussions and designs to build high-quality infrastructure, reduce technical debt, and improve code health. Additionally, you will triage product or system issues, debugging and resolving them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance the auction mechanisms that power Google's ad products, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
